CHICAGO: this continues

In these days, I have had goods experiences, but something has caught my attention most than other. The people is very polite, They say “excuse me”  “please” “Thanks” and also in many occasions, They wish me a nice days or just They smile me. Also I like that the people help us when We can’t to say something in English.

About food, I think that the last week I have eaten more than in my country, because I like to prove new food, for example on Thursday I ate a “Jibarito” This have been the most delicious meal that I have proved in Chicago, and the meal that I least  liked me was a seafood soup, this had very spicy.

And the most difficult in my stay in this Town it had the weather, here is really cold, I have never had so cold, but It have been wonderful to see snowing, is a experience that I never I will forget.

When I get here, I thinks: “This days will be really amazing…I have to do the most that I can to do in Chicago, to know places how; The Millennium Park, The Willis, The Art Institute of Chicago and many others. In fact Last night We went to a Millerrium Park where We did ice skating.

The last Wednesday We went to The Harold Washington Library. There I saw a particular activity that I liked so much It was the 3D prints, at CPL maker LAB, this is a really amazing technology.

                                            

My life in Chile isn’t compare with these days, I just miss to my family, but I would be happy living in this wonderful city, after this travel I want to come back on the next years.

ME and CHICAGO

I`m Eduardo Polanco, I`m from Chile and I was born raised in Pichilemu, the capital of surf in my country.

I moved to Vina del Mar for my studies and I live there since 2003. Vina del Mar is the most touristic city  in Chile, it has many beautiful places and in this city is done the most important music show of south america "The Festival of Vina del Mar" where the most famous singers around the world go to showing his music. 

I`m studying Communication and Public relations at AIEP institute. and also I`m graphic Designer.

About my family; I`ve a beautiful family, I`ve one brother and two sisters, all of them are married and I`ve five nieces and two nephews. My mother is merchant, She has a restaurant, This is called "Cinzano". My father  died when I was 11 years old.

Well, about me... I like to paint,  to read and to write poems, also I love to walk for Pichilemu`s beach for to see the sunset.

I come to Chicago for to learn and improve my level English. Also I come to know this amazing city, his culture, his places and all around it, always I  wanted to come to United States and now I`m here!!!, this is so exiting.  I will spend all time that I can for to know the most important places of Chicago, museums, buildings and to know  new people too. 

The last Monday, we went to see the Picasso sculpture, I loved it because I like art and in specially Pablo Picasso, his artworks are absolutely awesome. I think so that this sculpture represents a mix between a woman and an angel or an animal. 

On Thursday We went to a Cultural Center, this is beautiful, his architecture is wonderful.  

Yesterday We went to Art Institute, This is the bigger place art that i visited in my life, it`s absolutely grandiose. There I saw the self portrait of Vincent Van Gogh. This piece of art was the most like me.

Other place that i liked me was the Cloud Gate, we went to there last night and despite the cold We enjoy taking us photographs.
